Rose Rowland and Co was founded in 2013 and today, we continue to build on our enviable reputation for providing excellent advice and first class service to our business and personal clients alike.

Meet the team
Rose Rowland BSc(Hons) FCA
Director
Rose founded the practice in 2013 after many years of experience in the profession.
With over 30 years’ experience, Rose specialises in tax and accountancy services for farmers and rural businesses. As the daughter of a farmer, she has a strong understanding of the agricultural sector and the unique challenges her clients face.
Rose studied at Harper Adams University College in Shropshire before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1999. She now advises farmers and rural business owners on complex tax and accounting matters, providing clear, practical guidance tailored to their needs.
Known for her honest, approachable, and dedicated nature, Rose is passionate about delivering a high-quality, personal service to every client.
Outside of work, Rose enjoys spending time with her teenage children, supporting them in their sporting activities. She has recently taken up golf and also enjoys gardening.
Kathryn Tipping BSc (Hons) ACCA
Director
With over 10 years’ experience in private Practice, Kathryn advises on a broad range of rural and agricultural businesses.
Having joined the firm in June 2019, Kathryn qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in April 2021. Following her promotion to Associate Director in September 2023, she was appointed as Director in April 2026 alongside Rose, marking an exciting new chapter for the practice.
Kathryn holds a BSc degree in Biochemistry from the University of Nottingham bringing a strong analytical and problem-solving foundation to her work.
As a farmer’s daughter, Kathryn has an inherent understanding of the agricultural sector and the commercial realities facing farming businesses. She combines this practical insight with technical accounting knowledge to support farmers and rural business owners in all aspects of their business; including tax planning, preparing financial accounts and complex inheritance tax & partnership matters. She has further strengthened her expertise by recently achieving herĀ Certificate in Probate and Estate Administration.
Kathryn is known for her straightforward and grounded approach to advising clients. She is committed to building long-term relationships with her clients and supporting them to enable their businesses to thrive.
Outside the office, Kathryn remains closely connected to her farming roots, regularly helping on the family dairy farm, including caring for her own Brown Swiss cattle, and enjoys being in the countryside with her two dogs, Olive and Polly.
Jacob Hicks MAAT
Manager
Jacob joined the firm in 2016, following his studies at sixth form. He started as an Assistant Accountant, where he quickly developed his skills and gained practical experience in accounting. In 2021, he achieved his Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification.
Jacob was promoted to Assistant Manager in April 2022, where he took on more responsibility, working closely with clients and managing projects. In April 2026, he was promoted to Manager, continuing to support both clients and colleagues while overseeing daily operations and helping to drive the firm’s success.
Jacob has a strong professional interest in Capital Gains Tax and preparation of personal tax returns. He is also highly proficient in the use of Xero cloud-based accounting software and regularly assists clients in optimising their use of the platform.
Outside of the office, Jacob enjoys staying active. He is a member of his local hockey team and enjoys being out on the golf course in the summer. When not playing sports, he can often be found watching his favourite team or spending time with his friends and family.
Stephen Broster ACA
Stephen joined the firm in 2022 as an apprentice. He received his ACA qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in March 2026.
Prior to this, Stephen achieved a degree in Pharmacology from Newcastle University. Outside of work, Stephen enjoys cooking with homegrown produce and is also a keen runner.
Stephen comes from a farming family and is often called upon to help out grading potatoes or providing meals for his brothers when they’re working late in the fields.
James Wilkinson
James joined the firm in April 2022 and he looks after everything payroll. Prior to this, he ran a payroll bureau at a large Cheshire accountancy practice for over 20 years, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team.
Charlotte Bailey
Charlotte joined the team in September 2024 following completing her A Levels. She is completing her apprenticeship training with us and is currently studying towards her AAT exams.
In her spare time, Charlotte likes to keep active by being a member of a local gym and girls running club and enjoys exploring the countryside on hikes with her family.
Connor Green
Connor joined the firm in September 2025 after completing his A Levels and a couple of years working in hospitality. He is currently working towards achieving his AAT Level 3 qualification as part of his apprenticeship.
Outside of the office Connor enjoys watching sport, particularly football and darts.
Diane Boag-Munroe
Diane joined the team in the Spring of 2024. She is our office administrator and personal assistant.
Diane has previously worked in the finance industry for many years.
She is our friendly face and voice of the firm and is your first point of call when anyone contacts us.
